Karen Skoyles began law practice in 1986. She
concentrates in the areas of Family Law and
Criminal Law prosecution and defense. Karen is
the City Prosecutor for Detroit Lakes, Frazee,
Lake Park and Audubon. She formerly served as
a Minnesota District Public Defender. Karen is
very active in the community. She served as
Water Carnival Admiral and President of the
Noon Kiwanis Club. She is Chair of the the
Detroit Lakes Dollars for Scholars Awards
Committee and Assistant Cubmaster for Cub
Scout Pack 647. She has served on the board of
directors of the Detroit Lakes Jaycees, Noon
Kiwanis Club, and Becker County Humane
Society. Karen is a member of the Minnesota
State Bar Association and Seventh Judicial
District Bar Association.
